Large's theology

During the winter months with 3 kids it's not at all uncommon for us not to be able to go to church together because if any one of the kids is sick we have to keep them out of the nursery/Sunday School. Sunday mornings that we spend at home because the kids are sick tends to actually be a pretty special time for our family. On one such Sunday Large made this picture, pretending that he was making a craft for his Sunday School class. In case you don't read Large-ese, the left side says "Color this side black as in the days when people sinned" and the right side says "Color this side gray as in the day win Jesus was born". Sure the theology is a little shaky but I thought it was interesting that he understands that something changed when Jesus came, and that he also understands that people did not suddenly become sinless. He understands that sin's dominion ended, at least for those who trust Him, but that we don't magically stop sinning altogether.

I may be a little biased, but Large is brilliant. I'm so glad you guys got a blog. These moments are too special not to preserve. And, at least for me, blogging is as easy as writing an e-mail...much easier than trying to remember life's little moments in a scrapbook!
